Water jet cutting runs cold and cuts thick, handling sections a laser can't touch. Metals today; acrylic, stone, glass and tile are next, because a waterjet cuts almost anything.

Water jet cutting done in Melbourne’s south east, shipped Australia-wide. Support Australian manufacturing.
The kerf is the slot the blade leaves behind: the material the cut removes. It's the first thing any fabricator accounts for, so we named the company after it. The longer story is on the blog.
Water jet cutting uses ultra-high-pressure water and abrasive, not heat. No heat-affected zone, no warping, no burnt edges. And it handles materials and thicknesses a laser can't touch.
25 mm online in most metals, and up to 150 mm on request, far beyond sheet-laser territory. If your part is chunky, that's exactly what waterjet is for. Send it through and we'll confirm.
Four things set the price: the material, its thickness, the distance the jet travels (the total cut length, every hole included) and the quantity. Thicker material cuts slower, so it costs more per part; more parts share the setup, so each one costs less. Upload your file and the exact price for your part appears in seconds, with no obligation to order.
For thin sheet metal, a laser is usually cheaper because it cuts faster. Waterjet wins as the material gets thicker or where heat would do damage: past about 20 mm in steel a laser slows down or leaves a poor edge, while a waterjet keeps going to 150 mm with the same clean, cold cut. It is also the only choice for hardened or heat-treated parts that must keep their properties. See the full waterjet vs laser comparison.
Very little that is flat. Tempered glass shatters and a few laminates delaminate; almost everything else, from foam to 150 mm steel, cuts cleanly. On kerf.au today you can order five metals: aluminium, stainless steel, mild steel, brass and copper. Acrylic, stone, glass and tile are next.
DXF, DWG, SVG, AI, PDF, STEP, IGES and EPS files up to 25MB. STEP and IGES parts need to be flat (no bends) for an instant price. If your file is in another format, or you don't have one, send through a description or a sketch and we'll sort it out with you.
Instantly. Upload your file and your price appears in seconds, ready to order online. Every file is still reviewed before it's cut, so what arrives is what you designed.
